Reunion Update

With still over two months to go, in the middle of the summer, I think this is shaping up very nicely. However, at this point the issue is we have a $1000 deposit at SouthPaw in Brooklyn for the entire night with a guarantee of 200 people. At this point unless we receive checks or at least verbal commitments from many more people we will not safely be able to move ahead to keep this venue locked in. The owner of SouthPaw also owns a property named FranklinPark (next to the Brooklyn Museum), which would also be able to accommodate our reunion, however, with a smaller turnout. Everything would be the same: DJ, catering (dinner), non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, etc.

Bottom line: the reunion will take place in one of these two venues. However, we need to have a more accurate head count and we need to see the checks in order to lock down the larger venue.

We are utilizing multiple sources: Facebook, Reunion.com, Classmates.com, EVITE, and others to reach out to as many people as possible. Please respond to this email with a yes or no for an RSVP. Pass it along to any other people you know that are not reached by Facebook but will potentially attend the reunion.

The reunion committee consists right now of Jessica Roff, Sigall and Lewis Miller, Tashna Richards, Cheryl Watson, Jamila Sockwell, Eugene Louie, Tammy Ledbetter, Bryan Fuhr, Ben Pashman, Ron “Wheatie” Jones and myself. We are all committed to making the reunion happen successfully.

With the RSVP please respond if it would be better for payment to be set up with a paypal account for a credit card. We originally voted to have a bank account only but this can be modified.

I speak for the reunion committee in saying we are looking forward to having as many people make it to the party.
