To all:
We have set the date, time and place for the Midwood High School Class of 1989 20-year reunion! Wow! That is a very long time.
The reunion committee which has consisted of Lewis and Sigal Miller (they got married after the last one), Tashna Richards, Matthew Carlin, Tammy Ledbetter, Jamila Sockwell, Ron “Wheatie” Jones, Bryan Fuhr, Ursula Koffer, Jessica Roff, Eugene Louie, Ben Pashman, Melanie Lefkowitz, Cheryl Watson and myself have all spent considerable time and energy coming up with the details.
I want to personally thank each of you for stepping and getting this moving especially Tashna Richards who last May contacted me and started our Facebook webpage. We currently have over 125 members and are still growing.
I am sure the date might not work for everyone or the location but we all have come to a consensus and this is what we are going to stick to.
These are the details:
Date - Saturday, October 24, 2009
Time – 7PM
Place – SOUTHPAW Park Slope, Brooklyn
Price -
- $110/person before June 1, 2009 .
- $200 for couples before June 1, 2009.
- $125/person after June 1, 2009 and at the door.
This is going to include venue, open bar, food, music, gifts and lots and lots of catching up.
Lewis Miller has been our technical savant and has created: midwood89.com (or if you prefer, www.midwood89.com). The invite is here for all to see.
We will be setting up a bank account within 30 days for deposits. The price is set for $110 and we think we will be able to do it all with this. We need people to sign up sooner rather than later. If we have over projected the price then there will be refunds if not than we will just have to make it happen. In any event there will be complete transparency with the funds and all will go towards making a “kick butt” reunion.
Please send your contact information for mailing and e-mailing to reunion@midwood89.com. Within the website you will be able to email your contact information for a mailing list.
All this information will be kept confidential.
I ask everybody: spread the word about the reunion!!!!!
We at the reunion committee are looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Happy Holidays!
Be great!
